Muara Karang-Muara Tawar pipeline project to be completed this month, or next

PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, said that construction progress of the Muara Karang-Muara Tawar gas pipeline project has reached 80 percent.

President Director of Pertagas Hendra Jaya said in a recent statement issued following a project visit that he is optimistic the US$50 million pipeline project, linking Muara Karang in North Jakarta and Muara Tawar in Bekasi, West Java, will be completed by the end of June or early July of this year.

The 24-inch, 30-km pipeline will be used to channel gas from FSRU Jawa Barat offshore North Jakarta to PLTGU Muara Tawar combined cycle power plant owned by state owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), and industries nearby.
