Muara Tawar-Tegal Gede pipeline to be completed in mid 2015

The construction of the 79-km gas transmission and distribution pipeline that will connect Muara Karang in Jakarta to Muara Tawar and Tegal Gede in Bekasi, West Java is projected to be completed in the middle of 2015, according to an official of PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), the owner of the project.
?The pipeline is under construction by a consortium led by PT Hutama Karya (Persero). The project is projected to be completed next year,? President Director of Pertagas Hendra jaya told Petromindo.com.
The construction of the pipeline started in April this year.
Wianda Arindita Pusponegoro, Corporate Secretary of Pertagas, confirmed that the construction is scheduled to be completed around mid-2015.
The 24-inch pipeline is designed with a capacity of 270 mmscfd and will supply gas to the industrial areas around West Java and Jakarta. Earlier reports said that the project will cost Pertagas US$155 million.
