Muba administration plans to form oil and gas operation

The Muba administration in South Sumatra is planning to form its own oil and gas operation, the local Sumatra Ekspres daily reported.
The plan is contained in one of the 24 bills currently being debated with the local House of Representatives, the paper added.
The Paper quoted local House Speaker Lili Achmadi as saying that the parliament would support the administration's plan.
Lili said that Muba regency was reach with oil and gas resources.
He added that the resources had long been exploited by giant companies with international scale. (*)
