Muba regency will build LPG plant

The local government of the Musi Banyuasin (Muba) regency in South Sumatra plans to build a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to take the advantage of the rich gas reserves in the province, Sriwijaya Pos reported on Wednesday.
Muba's regent Alex Noerdin said in Palembang on Tuesday that the local government would cooperate with PT Citra Marga Nusaphala Persada Tbk and the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in the construction of the LPG plant.
"If it is feasible, Muba regency will cooperate with Citra Marga and ITB to build the LPG plant," he said after a signing a memorandum of understanding with Citra Marga and ITB.
Under the MOU, Citra Marga and ITB will carry out a feasibility study on the construction of the plant, which will be located in Pulau Gading village in Bayunglincir district. (*)
