Mubacoal to double coal output this year

South Sumatra coal miner PT Putra Mubacoal, a subsidiary of PT MNC Energy and Natural Resources, has set a target to increase coal production this year to 1.5 million tons from 600,000 tons last year.
?This year, we?re targeting around 1.5 million tons,? said Arsal Ismail, Managing Director of MNC Energy to Petromindo.com recently on the sidelines of a coal conference in Bali.
He said that the company is increasing coal production to benefit from the current recovery in the price of the commodity.
Aside from Mubacoal, the company also owns seven other coal mines in South Sumatra, and one coal mine in Kalimantan.
