Murphy, Salamander, Lundin get oil, gas blocks

The government announced on Thursday that Murphy Oil Corporation, Salamander Energy and Lundin Energy have won the tender for oil and gas blocks in Indonesia.

Of the 11 blocks offered by the govenrment in the First Round 2010 tender, only three drew bids, that is Sokang block offshore Natuna islands, South Sokang block offshore Natuna Islands and Wokam offshore Papua.

"Murphy and Salamander get Sokang and South Sokang blocks respectively, while the consortium of Lundin and Ephindo gets Wokam block," an official at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources said.(Godang)
