Musi Banyuasin to build mini oil refinery plant

PT Petro Muba, a company owned by the Musi Banyuasin (Muba) regency-administration will, build a mini oil refinery plant to process crude oil produced from the regency?s 900 old oil wells, Sriwijaya Post reported on Thursday.
The refinery plant will be built on a four-hectare area located by the Musi river in the Babattoman district so that the processed oil from the refinery could be easily transported to local oil stations, according to Petro Muba?s director Robert Heri said.
The mini refinery which will be built in cooperation with Chinese investors will have an initial production capacity of 500 barrels per day. The production is adequate enough to supply the fuel need in the regency and surrounding areas, Robert added. (*)
