?If the foreign assets are frozen, it will only add new difficulties including unemployment,? Chairman of the provincial Muslim clerks organization MUI Djasran Bullah told a dialogue forum organized by university students association.
The forum was attended by businessmen, community leaders, and students.
Since the U.S.-led air strikes against Afghanistan, certain local radical groups have threatened to attack foreign assets and expel U.S. citizens and Britons.
The threat has created new jitters among foreign investors in the country.
Elsewhere, Djasran said that MUI would not support plans by certain people for a Holy war in Afghanistan.
He said that it was better for the people to collect funds, foods, medicines or other basic necessities to help relief the difficulties suffered by the Afghan people.
He added that the foreign companies operating in the country could help in providing the fund.(*)
