Other company commissioners are Muhamamad Miftah, Muhammad Nizam and M. Thamrin Madjid.
On Jan 10, the local government of East Kalimantan threatened to shut down the operation of at least 15 mining companies, including MEC mine, in Samarinda if they fail to carry out reclamation on their former mining areas on February 1 at the latest.
All the mines have been temporarily suspended since Dec 15, 2012.
Previous information stated that MEC mine is under cooperation agreement with its contractor PT Mesra Prima Coal (MPC), which is a unit of Indian firm PT Param Mitra Coal Resources (PMCR).
According to PMCR website the MEC mine has a resource of 12 million tons and under production stage with present production of 30,000 tons per month, targeting production ramp up to 50,000-75,000 tons per month.
It isn?t clear weather MEC mine is still under MPC or not. The mine is located in Palaran sub-district, Samarinda within a concession area of 546 Ha.
