Mycorp secures diesel supply contract to Indonesia

Malaysian firm Mycorp Oil and Gas Sdn Bhd has secured a contract from PT (persero) Perikanan Nusantara to supply at least 250,000 tons of diesel a month starting next month.

The actual amount to be supplied under the five-year contract will depend on the demand, Mycorp?s president Wan Abdul Rahman Wan Ali said.

Based on the current price of diesel in Indonesia of US$485 per ton, the contract is worth at least $121.25 million a month.

"The diesel will be supplied to 10 fishing ports throughout Indonesia," he was quoted by Bernama as saying after the contract was signed here this weekend.

The ports are Tanjung Uban, Tanjung Priok, BalikPapan, Shambu, Karimun, Sorong, Surabaya, Belawan, Belitung and Bali. (*)
