N. Maluku PLTU project to be completed next year

State-owned electricity firm PT PLN said that the 2x3 MW PLTU Sofifi coal-fired power plant project in Halmahera Regency, North Maluku Province, is targeted to be completed in 2018.
?Construction progress has reached 51 percent. The commercial operation date (COD) status for unit 1 is scheduled for March 2018, and the unit 2 in May of the same year,? Haryanto WS, Director of Business for Maluku and Papua Region at PLN, told Petromindo.com on Friday.
He said that the power plant will be fueled by coal with CV of 3,800-4,200 kcal/kg from Kalimantan.
