N. Sulawesi blocks may attract most bidders in tender

A number of oil, gas international firms have indicated interest to participate in Indonesia?s latest exploration blocks bidding round, a government official said.
Eddy Hermantoro, Upstream Director at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources said that Exxon Mobil, Marathon Oil, Repsol, Premier Oil, PetroChina, Asia Pacific Exploration Consolidated (APEC) and state oil and gas company Pertamina are among interested bidders.
Most of the companies, he said are eyeing to acquire blocks which are located in Tomini Bay, North Sulawesi.
Government are offering 17 new blocks through regular bidding round, 7 of which are located in Tomini Bay (Tomini Bay I-VII). Seven blocks are also offered through direct offer scheme.
Eddy said government is scheduled to announce the tender?s terms and condition on Tuesday.(godang)
