Nalco Water eyes 15% increase in revenue

US-based Nalco Water, which provides water treatment technology for power plants, aims to book a 15 percent increase in revenue next year from the sales of its products and services to the power plant sector in Indonesia.

District Manager Indonesia Nalco Water, Hamdani Bantasyam told Petromindo.com last week that over the past five years, revenue in Indonesia has been growing by 10-15 percent per year particularly with the massive development of power plant projects under the government?s 35,000 MW program.

He said that revenue this year is estimated at Rp 200 billion from the sales of the water treatment technology and services in Indonesia. He said that 130 power plants in Indonesia have utilized the company?s water treatment technology. ?The target next year is for revenue (in Indonesia) to increase by 15 percent from this year?s. We?re eying supply (contracts) to a number of (power plant) projects,? Hamdani said.

Ecolab, the parent of Nalco Water, operates two production facilities in Citeureup and Cikarang, West Java Province, respectively with capacity of 20,000 tons per year, and 10,000 tons per year.
