Nanang appointed as new president director of PEP

Nanang Abdul Manaf has been appointed as the new President Director of PT Pertamina EP (PEP), an upstream subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina.

A source told Petromindo.com on Tuesday that Nanang was officially installed to the top post at PEP in a ceremony on Tuesday along with a number of new directors of the company.

Nanang, who was previously upstream director of PEP, has over the past few months assumed acting president of the company after then president director Rony Gunawan was dismissed from his post.

Nanang confirmed to Petromindo.com that he has been appointed as the new President Director of PEP. Nanang said he would focus on increasing oil production of PEP to previous top level of 100,000 bpd.

Other new directors of the company include Alfian Husein as Director of Exploration, and Cholid Said as Director Operation and Production, according to the source. Alfian was previously general manager of PT Pertamina Hulu Nunukan, while Cholid was previously General Manager of PEP Asset V.
