Natuna pipeline repair works completed

Repair works at leaked segment of Natuna-Singapore pipeline had been completed and natural gas from Premier Oil-operated Anoa field and Star Energy-operated Kakap field had been flowing back to the system, with normal supply level expected to be reached soon, a senior government official said Friday.

?As per Friday morning, repair works is 100 percent completed, both the 14 and 22 inches valves are now open. We are ramping up production from all PSC?s now,? said Trijona Kartoatmodjo, BP Migas deputy head told Petromindo.Com.

Natuna gas producers are contracted to supply around 350 MMCFD of natural gas to Singapore.

The leak in the 650-km pipeline had caused financial loses to Star Energy and Premier Oil, two West Natuna offshore gas producers that stopped supplying gas because the south valve of a subsea tie-in was shut down for the repair work. The gas supply from ConocoPhillips was not disrupted. (godang)
