NBC building a new hauling road

Coal mining company Nusantara Berau Coal (NBC) is building a new hauling road at its coal concession in Berau regency, North Kalimantan.

Corporate Secretary Liberty Simanjuntak told Petromindo.com that the road will be about three kilometers in length.

"The construction has started and is expected to be completed by August this year. This road will support hauling activity from Pit 3 at the mine site to the stockpile," he said, without disclosing the project?s costs.

Liberty revealed that so far the company is on track to meet its target of producing one million tons this year.

"Despite the continuing rainy season, we are still on track to meet this year?s coal production target of one million tons," he said.
