NCI eyeing 3 million tons in 2013

East Kalimantan coal miner PT Nuansacipta Coal (NCI), a coal unit of Bhakti Investama Group has set target to ramp up production to between 2.5 million tons and 3 million tons in 2013 from this year?s goal of 1.5 million tons, an industrial source told Petromindo.com.

The company is currently developing 2 units of jetty ports in Sanga-sanga river and Mahakam river that would be equipped with conveyor facility of 2X1,000 tons per hour capacity to support the planned increase of output.

?The development of jetty facilities is expected to be completed at this year?s end,? the source said.

NCI covers concession area of 2,000 hectares with the estimated mineable reserves of 25 million tons.

The company is currently conducting drilling to ascertain the reserve figures based on JORC.
