Indonesian hyperscale data center provider NeutraDC has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Ishikari Renewable Energy Data Center No.1 to support the expansion and interconnection of data center services across Indonesia, Singapore, and Hokkaido, Japan.

Under the agreement, NeutraDC will provide colocation services at its data centers in Indonesia and Singapore for users of Ishikari Renewable Energy Data Center No.1. The partnership aims to attract data center tenants and GPU users from Southeast Asia to Hokkaido Ishikari, while enabling cross-border digital infrastructure connectivity among the three markets.

Ishikari Renewable Energy Data Center No.1 will support the installation of NeutraDC Singapore’s network point of presence (POP) within its facility through the All-Photonics Network (APN) Innovative Optical and Wireless Network (IOWN), scheduled to open between Hokkaido Ishikari and Tokyo Otemachi in August 2026. This connection is intended to enable the use of Neutra Connect between Singapore, Indonesia, and Hokkaido Ishikari.

NeutraDC views Hokkaido as a strategic gateway to the Japanese market, citing the region’s strong renewable energy ecosystem and supportive policy environment. Ishikari Renewable Energy Data Center No.1 will also support NeutraDC in evaluating the use of its data halls and exploring potential new data center developments in the RE100 zone at the Ishikari New Port area.

The two companies will jointly develop and promote a cross-border GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) business. NeutraDC will lead GPU system architecture design and the construction and operation of AI computing services, aiming to offer its Neutra Compute platform in Hokkaido Ishikari. Ishikari Renewable Energy Data Center No.1 will provide infrastructure support and assist with customer development.

The partnership targets end-to-end cross-border GPU services connecting Singapore, Indonesia, and Ishikari City, enabling low-latency GPU workload aggregation, secure network access, and redundant routing.

The initiative has received backing from the Hokkaido Government, which has supported discussions since a business meeting in Singapore in February 2025 and a follow-up visit to Ishikari in March 2025.

Neutra Connect is NeutraDC’s digital platform that links data centers, cloud environments, applications, and partners, enabling new networks to be established within 24 hours and reducing data transfer costs by up to 30 percent. Neutra Compute is NeutraDC’s GPU-as-a-Service offering using high-performance GPUs from NVIDIA and AMD, designed to support enterprise artificial intelligence workloads.
