New coal port planned for E. Kalimantan

A new coal port may be built in East Kalimantan?s Penajam Pasir Utara regency based on a feasibility study conducted by Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), local daily Kaltim Post daily reported on Tuesday.
ITB?s team of researchers temporarily concluded that a new coal loading port could be built in Sesulu village in the regency?s Waru district.
The team however still needed another six months to complete its research, team member Dantje Kardana Natakusumah said in their meeting with regency officials in Penajam recently. (*)
