New coal terminal planned in E. Kalimantan

PT Bara Kaltim Sejahtera (BKS), a coal miner controlled by East Kalimantan provincial government, plans to construct a coal terminal with an annual capacity of 10 million tons, Kaltim Post daily reported recently.
BKS President Director, Ramli Akhmad told the Kaltim Post that BKS would team up with PT Borneo Tri Oceanlink to build the terminal.
According to the report, the project will cost about US$60 million. Construction consultants for the project are Jakarta-based PT Arkonin Engineering and Australian-based Connell Wagner Australia.
Location for the terminal is not yet determined and still being surveyed. (*)
