New equipments boosts Baramarta coal production

South Kalimantan coal miner PD Baramarta said on Monday its January-September quarter production increased to 2.6 million tonnes from 1.9 MT in the same period last year.

Field Officer Akhmad Yahni told Petromindo.Com that third quarter production increased sharply to 900,000 tonnes after mining contractor PT.Pamapersada Nusantara has deployed new equipments to the mine.

Yahni said Pama is now targeted to produce 200,000 tonnes per month for Baramarta. Aside from Pama, Baramarta also employ another contractor called PT. Madani.

Subject to weather condition, Yahni said Baramarta might be able to produce 3.5MT of coal this year.

Yahni said that the entire production from Baramarta are sold to trader called PT Prima Multi Mineral, to be exported to Asia Pacific countries such as Japan and The Phillipines.(denny)
