Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) is in the process of installing a Temporary Production Facility (TPF)/ Mobile Operating Production Unit (MOPU) at West Madura Offshore PSC, East Java, that will add production of 1,500 barrels per day to the block.
Rudianto Rimbono, SKKMigas VP Management Representative for PHE told petromindo.com on Tuesday that the TPF/MOPU will be tied up with platform PHE-138, with completion seen in 1-2 weeks.
The TPF/MOPU installation is part of PHE's effort to increase production from the block.
The TPF/MOPU was modified and constructed from a drilling rig at Keppel Shipyard in Singapore by KBL-Gryphon/PTK consortium in six months as scheduled. The facility weighed 11,000 tonnes.
The TPF/MOPU is expected to decrease back pressure at wellhead platform PHE-38A that will enable wells to produce optimally.
The TPF/MOPU is equipped with production support facilities such as living quarter, booster compressor, gas lift compressor, fuel gas system, power generator, oil transfer pump, produced water treatment system, utility system as well as helipad and bridge to platform PHE-38A.
PHE is targeted to produce 21,000 bopd and 113 mmcfd of gas from WMO this year.
