New Links increases shares in Medco

New Links Energy Resources Ltd., a Mauritius-based company, said Tuesday it had increased its stake in publicly listed oil company PT Medco Energi International Tbk by purchasing another 2,508,000 shares of the company.
The 2,508,000 shares accounted for 0.06 percent of Medco.
With the new purchase New Links currently owns 2,849,414,656 shares or 85 percent of the country?s largest publicly traded oil firm.
New Links bought the 2,508,000 shares from the public at Rp1,525 (US$1=Rp9030) each by a tender offer, the company said in its letter to capital market watchdog BAPPEPAM. (Robert)
