New minister appoints new oil and gas director general

New Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said has signed a decree to appoint Dr. Ir. Naryanto Wagimin M.Si as acting Director General of Oil and Gas, replacing Ir. A. Edy Hermantoro M.Si.

Nuryanto earlier served as the director of oil and gas upstream business oversight at the ministry.

Sudirman said based on reports from the Presidential Working Unit for the Supervision and Management of Development (UKP4), many oil and gas projects have been postponed during the time Edy served as the leader of the directorate general of oil and gas.
