New toll road in E. Java to be completed this year

Construction progress of the 38.29-km Krian-Legundi-Bunder-Manyar toll road project in East Java Province has reached 70.24 percent as per end of May.

The Indonesian Toll Road Authority (BPJT) said in a statement on Thursday that large part of the toll road is expected to start operation late this year.

The toll road comprises of four sections, namely Section I linking Krian and Kademean Mengganti (9.45-km), Section II Kademean Mengganti-Boboh (13.53-km), Section III Boboh-Bunder (6.02-km), and Section IV Bunder-Manyar (9.39-km).

BPJT said that Section I-III will start operation late in 2019, and Section IV in 2020.

The toll road project is being developed by PT Waskita Bumi Wira with construction process started in 2017.
