New toll road to start operation soon

The 185-km Terbanggi Besar-Kayu Agung toll road, which links Lampung and South Sumatra provinces, is expected to start operation in August of this year.
State news agency Antara quoted Project Manager at construction firm PT Hutama Karya, Hasan Turcahyo as saying that President Joko Widodo is scheduled to inaugurate the operation of the Terbanggi Besar-Kagung toll road project, which is part of the Trans Sumatra toll road.
“Physical construction has been completed, with remaining finishing work left in a number of areas so that it can start officially operation in August,” Hasan said.
The new Terbanggi Besar-Kayu Agung toll road is connected with the 142-km Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar toll road, which has already been in operation. (*)
