The company did not give 2009 production figure but reported that consolidated 2009 gold and copper sales from Batu Hijau mine were 550,000 ounces and 498 million pounds, respectively. The figures were far higher than 2008 sales of 299,000 ounces of gold and 290 million pounds of copper.
The Company has 52.44 percent economic interest in Batu Hijau.
The Company said higher production in 2010 would be due to higher higher ore grades as mining occurs in the bottom of Phase 5.(alex)
