Newmont expects Minahasa ore to last until Q3 2004

Although Newmont Mining Corp. had ceased mining operations at its Minahasa gold mine since 2001, it expected processing of stockpile ore to continue through the third quarter of 2004, the company reported Wednesday.
During the first quarter of 2004, Minahasa produced 22,300 ounces of gold, compared to 30,500 ounces last year?s corresponding quarter.
Newmont has 90 percent interest in Minahasa gold mine. (alex)
