The Ministry for Energy and Mineral Resoures (MEMR) held a press conference on Friday (12/04) i Jakarta to clarify the protest of the local people in Aceh over the mining activities of PT Emas Mineral Murni in the Nagan Raya, Aceh. The MEMR officials who were attending the conference were as follows (from left to right) Heri Nurzaman (Secretary of the Directorate General for Minerals and Coal), Yunus Saefulhak (Diretor for Mineral Business and Supervison), Bambang Gatot Ariyono (Director General for Minerals and Coal), Heriyanto (Head of Legal Division of the Directorate General for Minerals and Coal). Bambang Gatot Ariyono said the MEMR office respects the law and has an interest to safeguard the investment climate. The aspiration of the local people toward EMM is well respected as part of business dynamics. (Petromindo|Thomas)
