Nexen's exploration in Indonesia unsuccessful

Canadian oil company Nexen Inc (formerly Canadian Oxy) said recently in its annual report that exploration in Indonesia during 2000 was unsuccessful.

The report however, did not provide detail about the failure.

Nexen Inc. is the fifth largest net acreage holder in Indonesia with interests in two offshore exploration blocks Manna and Seram Blocks in North Maluku province.

Nexen Inc. holds 100% interest on both blocks. (alex)
