Canadian oil and gas company Nexen Inc (formerly Canadian Oxy) said Wednesday its exploration in Indonesia encountered some delays during the first quarter of 2001 due to rig availability.
The company said in its quarterly report it was currently investigating the availability of other rigs and still expected to drill an exploration well by year-end.
Nexen Inc. operates the Seram Offshore Block production-sharing contract (PSC) in Maluku province.
The company earlier said its exploration activity in Indonesia was not successful last year. (alex)
