Nickel, tin exports up in May, copper down

The export value of nickel in May increased by 13.49 percent to US$98.70 million on monthly basis, and the export volume of the commodity rose by 18.63 percent to 9.81 million kg in the month, data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) showed on Monday.

Copper export was down by 3.64 percent to $151.60 million in May compared to the previous month, while export volume decreased by 6.68 percent to 21.58 million kg.

Export of tin in May increased by 37.85 percent to $250.48 million on monthly basis with volume was up by 609.97 percent to 60.87 million kg compared to volume in April.
