ASX-listed Nido Petroleum Limited said Tuesday that rig for the planned drilling of the Gobi-1 well within the Gurita PSC, in Indonesia?s Natuna Sea, will become available in early October, a slight delay from the initial schedule of September.

Nido said that this was informed to the company by Lundin Gurita BV, the operator of the Gurita PSC.

?On the basis of operator?s updated advice, the company now expects to spud the well in mid-October 2014,? said Nido, which currently has a 10 percent working interest in the Gurita PSC, while Swedish firm Lundin Petroleum AB through its wholly owned subsidiary Lundin Gurita controls the remaining 90 percent stake.

On August 21, Nido said that that the rig for the Gobi-1 well would be available in September, and hoped that drilling could be being in late September.
