Niko seeks to farm out exploration blocks

Canadian oil firm Niko Resources is offering to farm out interest in some of its explorations blocks in Indonesia, Chairman of upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS said on Tuesday.

R. Priyono said Niko has made offer to several companies including Hess Corp. and Talisman Energy.

Niko has interest in 16 exploration blocks, most of which are located in eastern Indonesia, and operates 11 of the blocks. Niko and partners plan campaign to drill 13 wells in 2011-12. (godang)
