Nine oil and gas fields are scheduled to come onstream next year, adding 98,136 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) to the national output, oil and gas upstream regulator BPMIGAS said on Tuesday.

The fields will produce a total of 5,336 bpd of oil and 521.03 MMCFD of natural gas.

"The output of the nine fields is small but not negligible. We hope more fields will come onstream," R. Priyono, the chairman of oil and gas upstream regulator BPMIGAS, told a press conference. (Godang/Bernard)
