Ningbo Huaying seeking 1m tons of coal import from RI

China-based trading company, Ningbo Huaying Energy Co., Ltd is seeking coal supply from Indonesia this year with expected volume of 1 million tons of coal having calorific value of 3400 kcal/kg ? 3800 kcal/gram (gar).

?We prefer buying coal from Indonesia coal miner directly than via traders,? Ivan Liu, purchasing manager of the company told Petromindo.com on the sidelines of Coaltrans conference in Bali.

He said that the company imported about 3 million tons last year that was used for power plant and other industries, adding that the decline in coal demand in China has led to the decrease of import from Indonesia.

Previously, the company got Indonesian coal via traders, he said.
