Nippon Oil to double Indonesian coal import

Japanese firm Nippon Oil Corp plans to double coal import from Indonesia for 2010/11 and may source the coal from IDX-listed state coal mining firm PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam (PTBA).

Senior Staff Coal Business Hiromasa Yokozeki told Petromindo.Com on Tuesday the company is currently having 200,000 tonnes coal supply deal with PTBA for April 2009-March 2010 period.

?Talks with potential suppliers (fro 2010/11 supply) have not yet started. It could be from PTBA or other suppliers,? he said. (denny)
