NKE obtains construction contract for Tujuh Bukit gold mine

IDX-listed engineering and construction firm PT Nusa Konstruksi Enjiniring Tbk (NKE) said it has obtained a contract for the construction of an underground gold and copper mine in Tujuh Bukit Area, Banyuwangi, East Java Province.

The company said in a statement that it will team up with Australia?s Macmahon Holding Ltd in the construction project. ?Construction of the underground mine will soon start,? NKE said, but did not provide details about the contract and the project.

The Tujuh Bukit gold mine is owned by IDX-listed PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk.

NKE said it has previously cooperated with Macmahon in the construction of the Martabe gold mine in North Sumatra in a contract valued at US$190 million.
