Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources said that the government has no plan to issue any policy on export of low rank coal as the administration would still monitor the development of coal price next year.

"Not yet," the minister told Petromindo.com when asked on whether Indonesia would issue any policy to control the low rank coal next year. "We need to first monitor the development of coal prices," he said.

The government earlier has warned miners that it would issue a new policy to control export of low rank coal on fears that the massive mines of low rank coal could risk the supply of coal for energy source in coming years.
