The North Barito administration in Central Kalimantan is demanding a review on the mining contract of gold mining firm PT Indo Muro Kencana (IMK) because the company had been only contributing little to help financing local development, public relations chief of the administration Muhammad said.
"The company's contribution of one percent of total production to the region is very little, and should be revised," Muhammad was quoted by the Banjarmasin Post daily as saying.
He said that the revision must be made in accordance with the financing need of North Barito.
He said that to do this, the company's mining contract or locally called KKP must first be reviewed.(*)
