Novus, Lapindo to conduct drill stem test over E. Java exploration well

Australian oil, gas firm Novus Petroleum announced on Wednesday that the company, together with its partner Lapindo Brantas, the operator of Brantas production sharing contract in East Java, had conducted a comprehensive open hole logging and pressure testing programme on Carat-1 exploration well.
Novus said the joint venture had agreed to conduct two Drill Stem Test over two prospective zones.
The well spudded on 3 December 2001 and reached the total depth of 879 meters on 22 January.
Novus and Lapindo Brantas share equal participation in Brantas PSC. (alex)
