Novus, partner to drill E. Java exploration well Q4 2003

Australian oil and gas company Novus Petroleum Limited said Wednesday that plan was underway to drill one exploratory well in Brantas PSC in East Java by the end of this year.
?Ketingan-1 well will be drilled in the fourth quarter of this year,? said the company in its quarterly report.
The company also said that development program in its Wunut and Tanggulangin gas filed in Brantas PSC is ongoing with development of Tanggulangin-2 well, Wunut-2 and Wunut in progress.
The company said it would commence another Seismic acquisition in Tanggulangin and Wunut vicinity on May this year.
Novus said average gas production from Wunut field first quarter this year increased to 40.6 MMCFD from 24.4 MMCFD last quarter.
Novus has 50 percent working interest in Brantas PSC, which is operated by local firm Lapindo Brantas. (alex)
