Novus, partners to drill exploration wells in Brantas PSC, E. Java

Australian listed oil and Gas Company Novus Petroleum Limited and partners has finalized drilling programs in Brantas production sharing contract area in East Java, according to the company?s second quarter activities report released Thursday.

?Preparations are underway to commence a three well exploration drilling program in Brantas PSC. These well are on relatively low risk prospect, which are close to the producing Wunut gas filed and existing infrastructure,? said the company in the report.

The report, however, did not specify when the drilling would take place.

Novus holds 50 percent working interest in Brantas PSC, while local oil and gas companies Lapindo Brantas Inc.holds the remaining 50 percent.(alex)
