Novus records Indonesian net gas, oil production

Australian oil company Novus Petroleum Limited said on Friday that its total net gas production during the second quarter this year was 2,253 million cubic feet (MMCF), compared to previous quarter production of 1,815 MMCF. Net crude production was slightly increased to 484,000 barrels from 476,000 barrels in the previous quarter.
Novus reported net gas production increase from 9.5 million standard cubic feet per day (MMCFD) to 10.2 MMCF in Brantas PSC while Kakap PSC recorded production increase from 10 MMCFD to 13.9MMCFD during the quarter.
Novus said the figures were Novus working interest applied to the field gross production figures without extracting government?s share of production.
Novus has 50 percent interest in Brantas PSC, a gas producing field in East Java, 25 percent interest in Kakap PSC offshore west Natuna, 26.03 percent in Malacca Strait PSC and 15 percent in Lematang PSC, both of which are located in Central Sumatra. (alex)
