Novus requests for trading halt

Australian oil, gas firm Novus Petroleum Limited, which is subject to take over bid by Indonesian oil giant PT. Medco Energi International Tbk., on Thursday requested The Australian Stock Exchange to halt trading on its shares due to the announcement it will make shortly.
The company did not give specific detail, but the announcement might have something to do with the acquisition process. (alex)
