NR begins construction of gas meter project for Muara Karang power plant

PT Nusantara Regas (NR) held on Monday groundbreaking ceremony to officially start construction of a gas meter project at the onshore receiving facility (ORF) of the Muara Karang combined-cycle power plant in Jakarta owned by state-owned electricity firm PT PLN.
NR President Director Tammy Meidharma said in a statement that the gas meter facility will support gas supply for the peaker 500 MW combined-cycle power plant (PLTGU) project in Muara Karang, currently being developed by PLN as expansion of the existing Muara Karang PLTGU.
NR said that that the gas meter will facilitate the distribution of gas with maximum capacity of up to 135 mmscfd with operating pressure at delivery point of 630 psig. Construction of the gas meter facility will be completed in 14 months, with commissioning target in October of 2018, the company said.
NR has been supplying as to the existing Muara Karang power plant since the past five years.
