PT Nusantara Regas (NR), the owner of FSRU Jawa Barat offshore North Jakarta, is planning to buy three cargoes of LNG from the Bontang LNG plant in East Kalimantan from spot market.
NR's Technical & Operations Director Nugroho Rachmadi told Petromindo.com that for 2015, the government has allocated 27 cargoes of LNG to FSRU West Java.
?Besides, we plan to buy two or three more cargoes from the spot market," he said.
Nugroho added that the LNG has been allocated, despite the fact no deal has been reached.
This portal earlier reported that for this year, there will be a total of 22 uncommitted cargoes of LNG from Bontang, 10.5 cargoes of which have been sold by state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero) on spot market overseas.
An industry source however said the three spot-market LNG cargoes that NR wants to take is not part of the 22 uncommittted cargoes. ?It is part of the uncommitted cargoes allocated for the domestic market,? the source said.
