NSHE to develop 510 MW hydro power plant in N. Sumatra

PT North Sumatra Hydro Energy (NSHE) plans to develop a 510 MW hydro power plant in Bagas Godang Raja Laut Marancar, Tapanuli Selatan Regency, North Sumatra, local news portal Antarasumut reported.
The portal said that the company held a ceremony last week attended by local leaders and community to promote the project. Local leaders welcome the project, saying it would help accelerate economic development in the region.
NSHE Director Budi Susilo was quoted as saying that the company hopes support from local leaders to complete land acquisition for the project, whose construction is targeted to be completed in 4-5 years. No further details were provided. (*)
