NTPC plans tie up with Indonesian coal companies

Indian state electricity firm NTPC has short-listed two Indonesian firms as potential strategic partners to supply coal to feed the company?s power plants, Indian media reported.
The reports said that the company had announced that PT. Sugico Graha, an Indonesian company with access to South Sumatra coal had signed Confidentiality agreement with NTPC on the possibility of a tie-up.
Another firm in the list is PT.Persada Investama.
NTPC is in the process of looking for a consultant for due diligence of the coal mine that Sugico Graha plans to offer, the report said without giving further detail. (*)
