ASX-listed NuEnergy Gas Limited (NGY) announced Monday that the Australia Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) on November 17, 2015 gave consent for the resignation of Hall Chadwick as the company?s auditor.
?Upon receipt of the ASIC?s consent, Hall Chadwick has provided the company with notification of their resignation as auditors of NGY,? NGY said in a statement.
Section 327C(1) of the Corporations Act provides that if a vacancy occurs in the office of auditor of a public company, the vacancy is not caused by the removal of an auditor from office, and there is no surviving or continuing auditor of the company, the directors must within one month after the vacancy occurs, appoint another auditor.
?The directors have resolved to appoint KPMG as auditors to NGY with immediate effect, with the appointment to be confirmed at NGY?s annual general meeting,? the company added.
NGY has three CBM Production Sharing Contracts (PSC) in South and Central Sumatra, Indonesia, covering 4,819 square kilometres. NGY is the operator of all three, as follows: Muara Enim (40% participating share); Muara Enim 2 (30% participating share); Rengat (100% participating share).
The company said earlier today it has completed the acquisition of 100 percent shares of Dart Energy (Indonesia) Holdings Pte Ltd (DEIH) from Dart International Ltd for US$1 million.
DEIH through its group controlled companies has a number of CBM assets including 45 percent participating interest in Tanjung Enim CBM PSC (in South Sumatra), 50 percent participating interest in Muralim CBM PSC (South Sumatra), 100 percent participating interest in Bontang-Bengalon CBM PSC (East Kalimantan), and rights to the Joint Evaluation of Bungamas CBM (South Sumatra).
